Hillsong Worship, the GRAMMY® Award-winning band, has released their new album, “These Same Skies,” after much anticipation. The new compilation, which is available now on all digital platforms, is the multi-platinum selling group’s first live recording since the release of “There Is More” in 2018. On December 3, a physical version of “These Same Skies” will be released. Here’s where you can listen to the album.
The album is the first Hillsong Worship project to be entirely recorded in the United States (in Orange County, California), and it is inspired by Matthew’s Gospel and the historical Sermon on the Mount. Hillsong Worship leaders Brooke Ligertwood, Reuben Morgan, Benjamin Hastings, Aodhan King, Chris Davenport, and Mi-kaisha Rose are featured in “These Same Skies.””Today, Christ’s church–His body on earth–exists under these same skies,” Ligertwood says. “And Hillsong Worship’s mission continues under these same skies, despite being separated by oceans and closed borders.” One in heart and spirit, one in mission and purpose–to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ’s Name, build His Church, and serve His Church with the new song.
“We pray and believe that all of our labor sown in faith will yield a harvest for God’s glory,” Ligertwood continues, “and we pray something that truly blesses you and helps you to encounter Jesus in a new way in this season.””These Same Skies” includes 11 new songs written by the band, including the singles “That’s The Power (feat. Benjamin Hastings)” and “Never Walk Alone (feat. Mi-kaisha Rose).” “Never Walk Alone (feat. Mi-kaisha Rose)” has received over 1.7 million globalstreams since its October debut. As part of Worship Together’s recent “New Song Café” series with Hillsong Worship, watch the acoustic performance and hear the story behind “Never Walk Alone” here, and watch the acoustic performance, hear the story behind “That’s The Power” here.
