continues to use his platform as a top footballer to openly declare his Christian faith. In a recent Instagram post that has been widely shared among Christian sports accounts, the Uruguayan centre-back quoted one of the most powerful verses in the Bible:
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

Ronald Araujo, 27, joined Liverpool on a season-long loan from Barcelona in August 2026, with the Reds holding an option to make the move permanent.
