Nearly 900 Baptized in One Day at Texas Church as Revival Continues to Rise
Something powerful is happening across America.
On September 27, 2026, Lakepointe Church in Texas baptized 882 people in a single day. Senior Pastor Josh Howerton and the church shared the news with simple, powerful words:
“There are few things more powerful than watching someone publicly say, ‘My life belongs to Jesus.’”
What was planned as around 700 baptisms grew as 182 more people made “leaps of faith” during the service itself. The celebration ran nearly an hour longer than expected as person after person stepped forward to declare new life in Christ.


One attendee described the scene: “It was SO AMAZING! We stayed because all the baptisms ran service over by almost an hour! Such an AMAZING thing to witness!”
Part of a Larger Move of God
This is not an isolated event. Just weeks earlier, Biltmore Church in North Carolina baptized a record 458 people in one outdoor service. Earlier this year, Lakepointe itself reported 2,772 first-time decisions for Jesus at Easter. Across the country and around the world, mass baptisms and public professions of faith are becoming more frequent.
From college campuses to lakesides to church sanctuaries, people are responding to the gospel with open hearts and public obedience.
