The remixed version of “This Is My Song” from North Point Worship’s first album of 2022, Our God Will See Us Through, was released today (June 17) via North Point Music® and Centricity Music. The resounding hymn, which is being promoted by Heath Balltzglier and former frontman of the four-time GRAMMY®-winning band Third Day Mac Powell, is currently available via https://fanlink.to/NPWlive at digital and streaming retailers all over the world.

All of my parents, great grandparents, and grandparents on both sides were gospel singers. Old gospel music and hymns were a big part of my upbringing, says Balltzglier. “So many of those old songs started to make a comeback in my soul at the start of the pandemic and anchored my heart to hope. This song’s inspiration originates from there.

Balltzglier recalls, “I saw a band named Third Day when I was 16 years old in Atlanta. “That evening, they gave a performance of the song “Agnus Dei.” I had never before participated in worship in a situation like that. It had an enormous effect on me.

Having my friend Mac Powell on this song is such a full circle experience for me because I knew back then that was what I wanted to achieve! I’m really happy to give him this. God’s people will always have a song of hope to sing because He lives, no matter what we go through.

Powell continues, “I knew I wanted to be a part of it as soon as Heath sent me “This Is My Song.” “Being on staff at Church of the Apostles in Atlanta and coming from a strong background in worship music, I’m looking forward to seeing how this song is used to uplift the church and the body. I feel privileged to participate in it alongside Heath and my North Point pals!

Like the new, radio-ready “This Is My Song (feat. Mac Powell and Heath Balltzglier)” remix, all the songs on Our God Will See Us Through share a common encouraging and hopeful message that the pathway to God is never far away as He is always calling His children home. The album was recorded live Oct. 14, 2021 at North Point Ministries’ Woodstock City Church campus and features, in addition to “This is My Song,” the singles “God is Love,” “Deliverer” and “Prodigals.”
