The call to follow Christ and live the Christ life is a call to be good courageous. The Holy Spirit is available in you to strengthen your inner man.
God wants us to be courageous because victory waits written on the banners of the brave. He shall strengthen our hearts with His own power at work in us.
Lift up your heads as children of the undefeated King, by believing, hearing and hoping in the Lord. For He is faithful and does not fail His beloved who take heart and put all their hope IN HIM.
Psalm 31:24
I love the reminder this provides of the true source of our hope. But while I am here, may I challenge you to try and be more inclusive in your language? Could you not communicate exactly the same thought by choosing to say, “… strengthen your inner person” instead of “… strengthen your inner man”?
Offered in the spirit of fellowship.
Courage it seems to me is rooted in Faith, nourished by Hope and sustained and manifested in and by Love
God bless you
Patrick
