Chad Michael Murray, well known for his role in the American television drama series One Tree Hill, recently came up on maintaining his spirituality while working in Hollywood.
Murray, 40, recently told Fox News Digital, “I get up every day, put on that spiritual armor, read the Bible, do some devotionals, and then get ready to go to work.”
“Every day, I feel stronger and safer when I walk onto my sets, knowing that God is with me.”
“Jesus is with me every day,” the star claimed. “When you have that comfort, you feel different, you sense the opportunity to bear more, your shoulders are bigger, you can carry more weight.”
Murray, who recently starred in Fortress: Sniper’s Eye, revealed that he had turned down jobs due of his Christian convictions.
“I stick to what I believe in,” the actor explained. “Let’s just say that if a piece of content crosses my desk, which has happened numerous times over the last 22 years, that I don’t necessarily feel is what I believe or what I’m selling – that’s not for me.”
“I don’t want to get engaged in something that I don’t believe in because it will destroy it for everyone else,” he concluded. “It will be obvious on television if you do not totally adore and embrace the role you are playing. I always want to give the most of myself to the individuals I’m working with and the people who will watch the film.”
Murray discussed faith in his home in a 2020 interview with Fox News, including praying at the dinner table with his wife, actress Sarah Roemer, and their two children.
“Every meal, we pray. That is one of the cornerstones of instilling a strong moral compass in our children “He added. “To be honest, what do you have to lose if you don’t fear God? It would be mayhem here if you didn’t fear God “he said
“We read the Bible, and I start each day by reading a chapter,” he stated. “We teach the kids about Jesus, who he was, and the story, and we have church on Sundays.””God was just waiting for me to come to him,” she wrote at the time on Instagram. “And I have… and today I made my faith public, and it feels really nice to know that no matter what happens next on this road of life, HE is right there with me, walking with me.”
